Cleaning bills for the county

Send a link to a friend

Dear Editor:

I am writing in regard to an article that was published in LDN on Monday, June 21, regarding the county task force (Tax Reduction Task Force). It was stated that the cleaning cost for the John Logan Building was $200 a week, and Mr. Bateman thought that figure was too high.

I would be inclined to agree with him about that figure but would like that statement corrected. Since I am the person who provides that service to the John Logan Building, I can tell you that figure is incorrect -- the amount received is $75.

I know that costs need to be cut, but if you do not maintain your buildings, the result of that neglect will cost more in the long run.

Thanks for letting me respond.

Janet Dahmm
