MOUNT PULASKI -- Wilma Ellen Moore
Dickerson, 90, of Mount Pulaski, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at
3:15 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 30, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral
will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Tad
Blacketer officiating. |
Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery. She and
her first husband, Charles Moore, operated Moore's
Diner in Mount Pulaski for 12 years.
She was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Logan County. Her
parents were William H. and Alta E. McMann Fuiten.
She married Charles A. Moore on Oct. 12, 1977, in
Crown Point, Ind., and he died Feb. 13, 1973. She
married Carl Dickerson on Dec. 4, 1977, in Maroa,
and he died April 14, 1982.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (and
Tom) Lowe of Chestnut, Cam Curry of Decatur and
Gloria Peacock of Springfield; one sister, Ethel
McCain of Mount Pulaski; six grandchildren, Michael
Lowe, Craig Lowe, Troy Hogan, Amy Bledsaw, Danielle
Pope and Derek Stoll; eight great-grandchildren; and
three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters,
Dorothy Peterson, Doris Duncan and Mabel Manley; one
brother, Charles Fuiten; and one granddaughter,
Michelle Lowe.
She was a member of Lake Fork Christian Church
and the Women's Society of the church, Lake Fork
Community Center, Inner City Mission of Springfield
and the Christian Auxiliary. |
She was a volunteer at Lincoln Christian Nursing
Home and Vonderlieth Nursing Home.
She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Memorials may be made to Lake Fork Christian
Church.
