Murnie Spooner Jr.

[June 16, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Murnie W. Spooner Jr., 67, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 9:46 a.m. at his home.

A celebration of life will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Spooner home at Lincoln Lakes.

There is no visitation.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mr. Spooner retired as vice president of operations for a local oil company.

He was born March 27, 1943. He married Lori Barry on May 14, 2010, at Nassau in the Bahamas.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; three daughters, Lisa Fitzpatrick of Lincoln, Tina Singleton of Sanford, N.C., and Teri (and Tom) Perry of Lincoln; his mother, Wanda June Bittner Spooner Perrine of Apopka, Fla.; two brothers, Eric (and Diana) Spooner of Pennsylvania and Dale (and Jennie) Spooner of South Carolina; one sister, Doris (and Mike) McConnell of Florida; five grandchildren, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Cassidy Chambers, Randy Singleton, Taylor Perry and Jordan Perry; and one great-grandchild, Lexie Chambers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Murnie W. Spooner Sr.
