LINCOLN -- Donald R. "Donnie" Crane,
66, of Lincoln, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 1:25 a.m. at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His
funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home, with Nash Shawgo officiating. |
Burial will be
in New Union Cemetery.
Mr. Crane was a retired electrician from All
Tri-R at ADM in Decatur and formerly worked at PPG
Industries in Lincoln for 25 years.
He was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Lincoln. His parents
were Donald C. and Marjorie "Midge" Koehler Crane.
He married Linda Francis on July 24, 1981, in Mason
City.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; three
sons, Derrick Crane, Darin (and Deanna) Crane and
Dana Crane, all of Lincoln; one stepdaughter,
Jennifer Schneider of Mason City; one stepson, Shane
(and Brittany) Van Fossan of Lincoln; and seven
grandchildren, Brady Crane, Cameron Crane, Aiden
Crane, Megan Schneider, Sophie Schneider, Jackson
Van Fossan and Emma Van Fossan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one
sister, Patsy Weakley; and good friend Nick Tibbs. He was a member of Beason United Methodist Church. |
He loved bowling, going to fairs and showing
hogs. He was an avid fan of the Lakers and Dodgers.
Memorials may be made to Logan County 4-H or the
family of Donald Crane.
