LINCOLN --
Sharon R. Follis, 66, of Lincoln, died Monday, June 28, 2010, at her
home.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Dike officiating.
Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral
home.
Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery. |

She was born Nov. 13, 1943, in Pekin. Her parents
were Donald Hodges Nelson and Ruth McQueen Nelson.
She married Donald Follis on Jan. 5, 1964, in
Lincoln. She is survived by her husband, of
Lincoln; two daughters, Sheri Roos of Lincoln and
Shannon Presswood of Broadwell; one son, Sean Follis
of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; and two sisters, Donna Nelson of
Lincoln and Ruth Orton of Brainard, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
son, Ron Follis; and her twin sister, Karen
Lockhart.
She loved to play bingo and was a loving wife,
mother and grandmother.
Memorial donations may be made to cancer research
at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield and will
be accepted at the funeral home.
