[March 27, 2010]  The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce celebrates office professionals in Logan County every year with the Office Professionals Luncheon. The chamber invites members and the community to the event. The luncheon this year is scheduled for April 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the American Legion.

The chamber values office professionals and appreciates the excellence in service they strive for every day. This luncheon encourages businesses to reward their office staff with a relaxing, enjoyable break. Guests are invited to take a timeout in their busy day to come and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by Central Illinois Event Catering and get a "Kick in the Attitude" by motivational and inspirational speaker Sam Glenn, "the Attitude guy."

A first-ever recognition for Office Professional of the Year will be awarded. This award will be given to an individual who does outstanding work, is dedicated to his or her job, gives 110 percent, and is always going that extra mile. Nominations are being accepted for this award until April 2 at the chamber office.

Many local businesses will be on hand to showcase their expertise, offer services and give door prizes. Booths will be open before and after lunch. The chamber offers this opportunity for guests to visit with local businesses, learn more about what they have to offer and how the businesses can improve personal and professional lives with their services.

For a registration form and information regarding available booth space, visit www.lincolnillinois.com or call 217-735-2385.

The Office Professionals Luncheon is an important part of the chamber's vision to advocate for business by providing leadership, programs and services that create, protect and enhance the business environment for the benefit of chamber members, Lincoln and Logan County.
