[May 17, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- NBC will give viewers a turn-the-page schedule next fall.

InsuranceThe network will try to erase the memories of the failed Jay Leno experiment and another fourth-place finish with new scripted shows each weeknight at 10 p.m.

Leno's time slot has been filled with four brand new series and a fifth, "Parenthood," that has only been on the air for a few months.

NBC also said Sunday that its science fiction series "Heroes" has been canceled. On Friday, the network said that "Law & Order" will leave its schedule after 20 years in prime time.

NBC is the first of the broadcast networks to announce its fall schedule in a week of busy presentations to advertisers.
