Scout's honor. Saturday morning, in spite of cool, cloudy weather and threats of rain, three Cub Scout packs, three Girl Scout troops, their leaders and several parents gathered at Washington-Monroe School to spend their morning cleaning up the downtown area of Lincoln. The troops participating were Cub Scout Packs 101, 105 and 111 and Girl Scout Troops 6344, 6193 and 6419.

And they are off. Participants in the first Lawnmower Run went though town collecting food or cash for the Lincoln/Logan County Food Pantry. Per the instructions of the city council, the group traversed one block at a time, closing cross streets as they went, then reopening them as soon as they had passed through.
