Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank
the local bluegrass band Postville Express. This wonderful band took
time out of their busy schedules to play music for the residents and
families at Maple Ridge Care Centre during Nursing Home Week.
Lincoln is blessed to have such a wonderful group of people who
are willing to share their time and talents.
The residents truly enjoyed the music and appreciated the
excitement a live performance brings. One resident enjoyed the music
so much, she was kicking up her heels -- behind her walker!
With sincere gratitude,
Catrina Whitney
Director of Marketing & Admissions
Maple Ridge Care Centre
