Florence Clark

[May 25, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Florence Charlotte Clark, 87, of Mount Pulaski, formerly of Lincoln, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at 12:05 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andrew Nyren officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark was a homemaker.

She was born June 7, 1922, in Lincoln. Her parents were Albert and Florence Gross Schultz.

She married Arnold Olson and he preceded her in death. She later married Henry C. Clark and he also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (and Lee) Gibson of Springfield; one son, David (and Cheryl) Olson of Creal Springs; one brother, Edward Schultz (and companion Mallory) of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Sheila McCleary of Springfield, Connie Lang of Springfield, Bob Lang of Springfield, Michelle Peeples of Greenfield, Wis., Stephen (and Maureen) Olson of West Chicago, Kevin Olson of Lisle, Brian (and Becky) Olson of Villa Grove and Michael (and Kelly) Olson of Bloomington; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Schultz, Joe Gross and Homer Schultz; and three sisters, twin sister Frances Conrady, Freda Olson and Martha Wiggers.

Funeral Director

She was of the Lutheran faith.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 263 and Women of the Moose.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking homemade bread. She loved to joke around with her family.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice, Springfield.
