LINCOLN -- David W. Green, 71, of
Illiopolis, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at 4:31 a.m. at St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. An Eagles
service will follow at 4 p.m. |
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with Pastor Clarence W.
"Butch" Reneker officiating. Burial will be in
Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.
Mr. Green retired from Myers Industries after 20
years. He also owned and operated the Wedge Drive in
Illiopolis for eight years.
He was born June 10, 1939, in Lincoln. His
parents were Dalton M. and Iantha Fulscher Green.
His first marriage was to Faye Brest. He married
Diane Darling Danley on May 24, 1993, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, of Illiopolis; two
sons, Darin (and Cathy) Green of Lincoln and Brian
(and Beth) Green of Lincoln; two daughters, Michelle
(and Michael) Dawson of Elkhart and Tracy of
Lincoln; one brother, James Green of Lincoln; 11
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers and two sisters. |
He was a two-time past president of Eagles Lodge
2708.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling.
Memorials may be made to Eagles Lodge 2708, Art
Erhman Cancer Fund and to the family.
