LINCOLN -- Wallace F. Mayberry, 85,
formerly of Normal, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at 8:30 p.m. at
Oskaloosa Care Center of Oskaloosa, Iowa.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the
Rev. Don Jones officiating. Visitation will be one hour
prior to the service. |
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery. Mr. Mayberry
was a retired liability claims adjuster for Country
Companies.
He was born June 5, 1925, in Lincoln. His parents
were Michael P. and Pearl Forsythe Mayberry. He
married Lois Coates on Sept. 25, 1947, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, of Oskaloosa, Iowa;
one son, Steve (and Debbie) Mayberry of Albia, Iowa;
one daughter, Janet Killam of Omaha, Neb.; one
grandson, Mike (and Jean Ann) Mayberry of Fremont,
Iowa; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Taylor
Rea; and two sisters-in-law, Marian Haseley and
Louise Davis of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean
Mayberry.
He was a member of First Methodist Church of
Normal and Lincoln Masonic Lodge 210 AF & AM. |
Memorials may be made for research on Parkinson's
disease.
