Charles Cotton, 54, of Lincoln, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at his
home. |

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Holland
Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. A memorial
service will follow at 12:05 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home. Charles was born March 24, 1956, in
Decatur. He married Jeanne Sloan on Dec. 20, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; his
children, Elliott Groves (and Dawn) of Lincoln,
Darrell Groves (and Christina) of Alabama, Sara Beth
Groves of Alabama and William Murdy of North
Carolina; his father, Robert Ross of Dix; two
sisters, Mary Nicodemus of Mason City and Janice
Davis (and Bruce) of Louisiana; one brother, Jeff
Ross (and Mary Kay) of Easton; three grandchildren;
and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother,
grandmother and one grandchild.
He loved to fish, was a truck driver, a junker, a
family man and an all-around good man. |
He requested that casual dress and no black be worn
to his memorial service.
Memorial donations may be made to Atlanta
National Bank in the name of Charles or Jeanne
Cotton.
