LINCOLN --
Thomas A. Koch, 86, of Lincoln, formerly of Mundelein, died Sunday,
Sept. 26, 2010, at 1:26 p.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation is
scheduled. |
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home handled
arrangements.
Mr. Koch was a retired milkman and 40-year member
of the Teamsters union.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was born Dec. 6, 1923, in Chicago. His parents
were Albert W. and Veronica M. Hasty Koch.
He is survived by one son, Thomas A. (and Jan)
Koch Jr. of Vernon Hills; two daughters, Patti J.
(and Bob) Volpert of Gurnee and Mary E. (and Bob)
Berry of Lincoln; five grandchildren, including
local surviving grandsons James (and Paula) Berger
of Lincoln and Michael (and Billy-Jo) Berger of
Lincoln; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother,
William A. (and Babe) Koch of Spring Grove.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin M.
Koch; one grandson, Ryan W. Berry; one brother,
Robert Koch; and one sister, Alvernia "Bunny" Beskow. |
He was a life member of Fox Lake American Legion
Post 703, where he was past commander twice; a past
commander of Fox Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars; and
10th District junior vice commander and past chef de
gare of the 40&8 in Fox Lake.
