Richard 'Fuzz' Froschauer

[April 25, 2011]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Richard F. "Fuzz" Froschauer, 73, of Mount Pulaski, died Friday April 22, 2011, at 7:19 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Life Center in Mount Pulaski. Mr. Froschauer's funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Family Life Center, with the Rev. Rachel Stockle officiating.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski is handling arrangements.

Fuzz worked for Lehn & Fink in Lincoln for 32 years in shipping and receiving.

He was born on May 1, 1937, in Lincoln. His parents were Edward V. and Hazel Gasaway Froschauer. He married Juanita Hein. Later he married Janice Troutwine, who survives in Mount Pulaski.

He is also survived by one son, Rick (and Diana) Froschauer of Lincoln; one daughter, Denise (and Ronnie) Merold of Mount Pulaski; one stepdaughter, Debbie (and Terry) Maurel of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Eugene "Frog" Froschauer of Springfield; five grandchildren, Alyssa McBenge, Leslie Froschauer, Lindsay Hollomon, Brittany Merold and Brooke Merold; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Joyner and Raegan Watts.

He was a member of the Latham United Methodist Church, Decatur Moose Lodge, Clinton Elks 785, Lincoln Eagles 2708, Air National Guard in Springfield, Lincoln American Legion Post 263 and the Wild Wednesday Golf Group of Springfield.
