The Board of Education extends an invitation to all residents wishing to apply for the two Board member positions currently open and available with the Chester East Lincoln District Board of Education.

These positions will be for two year terms and the Board is specifically looking for candidates from Oran, Aetna, Atlanta, and Eminence.

Applicants must have lived within the Chester East Lincoln District Boundaries for the past year, must be 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, and a registered voter.

Interested residents should submit a "Letter of Interest” and Resume to: Chester East Lincoln District Office, 1300 1500th Street, Lincoln, Illinois 62656 7:00a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday the week of April 26 through April 29.

Application deadline will be at 3:30 April 29, 2011.

The Board of Education will review the submitted information and then hold a special board meeting on May 3 rd to interview the interested candidates. Candidates will be selected that evening. The Board wants to fill the two positions as soon as possible

The Board need the residents help and support in this selection process as some very important decisions affecting the leadership of this district must be made in the coming weeks.

LOGAN COUNTY BOARD

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Logan County is requesting proposals for property/casualty and workers compensation insurance for the year beginning July 1, 2011. Proposals should be received at the Logan County Clerk’s office, room 20, Logan County Courthouse, Lincoln, Illinois no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4. The proposals will be opened and reviewed at the Insurance Committee Meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, May 5. Interested brokers may obtain an informational packet from Pamela Meagher, insurance administrator, at 217-732-4600 on weekdays between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
