Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery,
Hartsburg.
Peasley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Miss Klokkenga retired from the Emden Post Office
on April 2, 1989, after 20 years as a clerk.
She was born on Dec. 30, 1923, in Emden. Her
parents were Harry Joseph and Gertie Eeten Klokkenga.
She is survived by one brother, Harry M. (and
Joanne) Klokkenga of Bloomington; and by nieces and
nephews Ron (and Vicky) Klokkenga, Rudy Klokkenga,
Larry (and Cathy) Zumwalt, Debbie (and Loren) Lamar,
Barbara (and Mark) Kirk, Esther Bruns, Fay Bruns and
Roberta (and Butch) Hildebrandt.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church,
where she taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was
also a member of the Emden Historical Society.
Memorials may be made to the Emden Historical
Society and Museum.
