In
this Wednesday photo released by Tokyo Electric Power Co.,
building materials are being pulled up by a crane next to the Unit 1 reactor, seen behind
the crane, to build a tent to cover the reactor at the crippled Fukushima Dai-ichi
nuclear power plant in Okuma, Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The
nuclear plant's
operator, TEPCO, said Friday that they are building a huge tent to cover Unit
1, one of the worst-hit reactors. Officials hope the cover will keep leaked
radioactive materials from spreading, prevent rainwater seepage and offer a
barrier from further leaks. The tent is being built behind the reactor and is not
shown in the photo.

A billboard for the Bollywood film
"Aarakshan," or "Reservation," adorns a cinema in New Delhi, India,
on Thursday. Three Indian states have banned the movie,
slated to be released Friday, following apprehension that certain
scenes and dialogues may trigger trouble, according to a news
agency. Protestors say the film speaks against India's affirmative
action program that reserves education seats and jobs for the
country's indigenous peoples and its dalits, or untouchables, who
have no caste and have suffered centuries of severe discrimination.
