NORMAL -- Thomas H. "Tom" Rippon. 49,
of Normal, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at his home. |

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. A
memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the
service time. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Mr. Rippon was employed by Firestone in
Bloomington as a safety coordinator.
He was born April 1, 1962, in Taylorville. His
parents were Thomas and Carolyn Frost Rippon.
He is survived by his father, Thomas (and Susan)
Rippon of Ocala, Fla.; his children, Thomas "Ryan"
Rippon of Fairhope, Ala., Elise Boch of San Antonio,
Texas, Brock Rippon of Bloomington and Carolyn
"Molly" Rippon of Lincoln; his sister, Debbie
Denning of Taylorville; and his ex-wife, Lisa Rippon
of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He enjoyed camping, gathering with friends and
family, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Tony
Stewart fan. |
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made
to the Thomas Rippon Memorial Fund at State Bank of
Lincoln and will also be accepted at the funeral
home.
