Mr. Robinson retired in 1999 from the Eureka Co.,
where he was employed for 32 years.
He was born March 14, 1939, in Alsey. His parents
were John W. and Frances E. Collard Robinson. He
married Loretta Yentes at the Armington Christian
Church on June 30, 1963.
He is survived by his wife, of Goreville; one
daughter, Marsha Robinson (and Bruce White) of
Minier; one son, Curtis Robinson of Normal; two
brothers, Bill (and Marge) Robinson of Decatur and
Bruce Robinson of Chicago; one grandson, Trevor
White of Minier; and several cousins, nieces and
nephews.
He was a fan of all airplanes, especially World
War II planes. He earned his private pilot's license
and owned a small private plane for a few years.
Later, he flew radio-controlled airplanes.
The highlight of his life was a trip to the Air
Force Academy in Colorado Springs a few years ago to
witness the graduation of the son of good friends.
Dave was a social person and never met a
stranger.
