Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Nichols had been employed at Shop N Save in
Springfield.
David Arthur Nichols was born Nov. 22, 1958, in
Lincoln. His parents were Glenn Arthur and Betty
Liesman Nichols.
He is survived by his mother; one brother, Steve
(and Cindy) Nichols; one sister, Suzzan (and Mark)
Maxheimer; two nieces and one nephew, all of
Elkhart; and his companion of many years, Diane
Klingburg of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his father.
David was an avid fisherman and fan of the Chicago Cubs,
Chicago Bears and NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon. He was a
member of the Route 66 Car Club in Springfield.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for
cancer research for children.
