[July 02, 2011]  New York (AP) -- After two days of TV appearances, performances and interviews, Javier Colon, winner of NBC's singing competition "The Voice," is preparing for his next big gig: His friend's wedding.

The 34-year-old said Friday the timing is not great but he promised he would be there.

Colon, who was coached by Maroon 5's Adam Levine, took home the $100,000 grand prize and a recording contract after Wednesday's live season finale. He said fans can expect collaborations with Levine and Cee Lo Green on an upcoming album.

Colon also is preparing to hit the road with the top 8 "Voice" finalists for a six-city concert tour in late July.
