The
Friday of the Fourth of July weekend always brings a cookout at St.
Clara's Manor in Lincoln. As the day was heating up, a crowd
came to catch a free burger or hot dog, sponsored by St. Clara's.
The Railsplitter Antique Auto Club was also on hand to dress up
the parking lot.

Seven-year-old
lions Izu and Mina explore the renovated Lion Camp exhibit at the
San Diego Zoo Safari Park on Friday. The exhibit, which
has been closed since March, now features a grassy area for
lounging, Medjool palms and fever trees that offer shade and can
serve as scratching posts, and several new rocks and elevated ledges
to give the lions more places to perch and keep an eye on all that
is happening around them.
Congratulations to these longtime golfers and
active American Legion members.
Dean Toohey and Paul Fuhrer were honored before the Mount Pulaski
golf tournament and took ceremonial first swings. More pictures
