Gloria has served most recently as nurse manager in Family Maternity
Suites. She began her career at age 16 and worked as a nurse's aide
for four years. She spent 23 years as labor nurse at Memorial
Medical Center before coming to ALMH. "When I went back to nursing
school, my dream had always been to return to ALMH someday as a
nurse," she said. "It has been a delight to return here and be a
part of building the new hospital."
ALMH will host a celebration in honor of Gloria on Friday from
2-4 p.m. in Steinfort Conference Room A (lower level). Cake and
punch will be served.
"We spend more working time with our co-workers than we do most
of our relatives, and they become our extended families," she said.
"I will always cherish the relationships I have formed here and the
opportunity I had to return to ALMH."
