Dorricia 'Dee' Suman

[July 22, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Dorricia "Dee" Suman, 86, of Lincoln, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at 8:30 a.m. at her home.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Suman retired from Lehn & Fink, where she was a factory and office worker.

She was born on Oct. 22, 1924, in Lincoln. Her parents were Frank and Hazel Jones Weindorf. She married Martin "Marty" A. Suman on Sept. 5, 1947, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1985.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including special nieces Sandra Wilham and Cindy Newman of Lincoln.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Nelva Benner; a half sister, Edna Taylor; two brothers, Stratford and Frank Weindorf Jr.; and two half brothers, Leroy and Desmond Weindorf. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Church, American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
