Blagojevich jurors due back in court

[June 27, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Jurors are due back in court Monday for their tenth day of deliberations in the second corruption trial of impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The proceedings have unfolded as a stripped down, easier-to-follow version of the first deadlocked trial. The thinking was it would get over and done with comparatively fast.

But it looks like the retrial's turning into another long wait. Jurors meet behind closed doors in a 25th floor jury room overlooking Lake Michigan. So it's impossible to know for sure what's happening.

Legal experts say there're several possible scenarios.

It's possible jurors are simply being meticulous. But there's also a chance holdouts are digging in against the majority.

Blagojevich denies all charges, including that he tried to sell or trade President Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat.
