LINCOLN -- Ferne Marie Pollock, 81, of
Lincoln, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at 11:25 a.m. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Andrew Nyren officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the
service. |

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery. Mrs. Pollock
was a beautician at Ferne's Beauty Shop.
She was born July 18, 1929, in Laenna Township,
Logan County. Her parents were Roscoe and Mary R.
Tela Patterson. She married Clarence W. Pollock in
Hartsburg on Oct. 25, 1947, and he preceded her in
death on May 8, 2003.
She is survived by one daughter, Becky (and Phil)
Gehlbach of Lincoln; two sons, Darrel (and Karen)
Pollock of Lincoln and Dennis Pollock of Urbana; and
grandchildren Brad Gehlbach, Clint Pollock, Jason
Pollock, Ashley Pollock and Beth Gehlbach Bangert.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and
three brothers. She was the last of her immediate
family. |
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of
Lincoln.
