Grains futures down, livestock prices mostly fall

[March 12, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for May delivery fell 21.50 cents to $7.19 a bushel; May corn fell 12 cents to $6.7075 a bushel; May oats were down 8.50 cents at $3.4750 a bushel; while soybeans for May delivery fell 18.50 cents to $13.37 a bushel.

Beef and pork traded lower or flat on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged down 0.95 cent to $1.1670 a pound; April feeder cattle fell 0.20 cent to $1.3400 a pound; April lean hogs dropped 0.60 cent to 89.25 cents a pound; while March pork bellies remained unchanged at $1.1700 a pound.
