Sixteen
ZLS students in grades 4-8 participated in the annual Zion
Lutheran School Spelling Bee during National Lutheran
Schools Week. Emily Messner, a fifth-grader, is the school
champion and Emma Nobbe is the runner-up. Kalyn Roberts
finished in third place.

Lutheran School students won first and second place, plus four
honorable mention awards, in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit
263 Americanism Essay Contest.
Alysa Cox won first place and Emma
Nobbe won second place. Receiving honorable mention were Lance
Stanfield, Faith Smith, Caleb Sager and Anna Walters.
