[March 16, 2011]  LINCOLN -- A graveside service for James Edward "Jim" Johnson, 66, a lifelong resident of Lincoln, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Cemetery.

Following the graveside service, there will be a potluck dinner at noon in the Railer Room at the Lincoln Park District center on Primm Road.

He died Feb. 6, 2011, at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mr. Johnson was employed by PPG for 22 years and retired from Eaton Corp. in 2007 after 13 years with the company.

He was born June 22, 1944, in Lincoln. His parents were Edward Axel Johnson and Viola Jane Davis Yeazle. He married Judith Ann Daugherty on June 20, 1964, in Lincoln.

He is survived by his mother, Viola Yeazle of Lincoln; his wife, Judy, of Lincoln; two daughters, Jami (and Michael) Leach of Sullivan and Jonni (and Charles) Bone of Decatur; four grandchildren, Brandon Becker, Brian Becker, Austin Leach and Brittany Bone; two sisters, Naomi Veff of La Harpe and Carol Johnson of Washington state; and one brother, Michael Johnson of Burlington, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister, Mary Ann Johnson.

Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln.
