There are currently 19 garden
plots at the Logan County Housing Authority. During his brief speech
Saturday morning, Steve Allen, director at the housing authority,
said he was prepared to do more plots there if they were
needed.
Allen said there has thus far been no call for it, but he does have
a space set aside for a raised bed near the concrete driveway for
any wheelchair-bound person who might be interested in doing some
gardening.
He also spoke about how enthused some of the older housing authority
residents were with the idea of being able to get out and work in a
real garden once again.
