After the groundbreaking
ceremony Saturday morning, everyone was invited to move to the
Community Room at the Logan County Housing Authority High Rise for
two workshops.
The first workshop was put on by Connie Burgett of Connie's County Greenhouse
near Latham. Burgett spoke about ornamental gardening. The second
presentation was by Steve Sparks, a Logan County Master Gardener
and retired owner of Sparks Soil Testing Lab, who spoke on soil
conditions at the gardens and soil amendments for vegetables.
