Larry Marrs

[May 04, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Larry Thomas Marrs, 64, of Lincoln, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at his home. He went to be with the Lord.

A memorial visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

Larry was born Nov. 6, 1946, in Chicago. His parents were Claude and Dorothy Watson Marrs. 

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy (and Greg) Miller of Hudson; his son, James (and Hailey) Marrs of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Drew Miller, Peyton Marrs, Lauren Marrs, Meagan Marrs, Mallorie Miller, Maisy Miller and Bre Marrs; two sisters, Pam (and Ben) Madigan of Peoria and Nancy (and Fred) Musick of Lincoln; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of Salt Creek ABATE, Legends Pool League and the Lincoln Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Larry enjoyed history, shooting pool, the outdoors, fast cars and fast motorcycles. 

He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. 

Memorial donations may be made to Friendship Manor or the Lincoln VFW.
