Frank Langella to return to B'way in 'Man and Boy'

[May 06, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Frank Langella is heading back to Broadway this fall in a revival of Terence Rattigan's drama "Man and Boy."

The Roundabout Theatre Company said Thursday that the play, to be directed by Maria Aitken, begins previews on Sept. 9 and opens on Oct. 9 at the American Airlines Theatre.

The play centers on the relationship between father and son and is set during the Great Depression. Langella plays a business mogul in financial trouble who tracks down his estranged son in an attempt to stage one last deal.

Other cast members will be announced later.

Langella received an Oscar nomination for the film version of "Frost/Nixon," for which he won his third Tony. He was last on Broadway in 2008 as Sir Thomas More in "A Man for All Seasons."
