T
he
line of people to receive free food from the Mobile Food
Pantry ran 350-plus last night. From the doors of the pantry
to Logan Street, then back through both the pantry's parking
lot and the Methodist Church lot all the way to Kankakee
Street, people waited a turn to take home food.
In all, 10,000 pounds of food
was given out in less than two hours. More information and
pictures are in today's Top Stories.

move trash at the Shoosmith Landfill in
Chesterfield, Va., on April 26.
Caroline Frazier has spent months dreading
that her 18-year-old daughter may be buried
70 feet deep in the mammoth landfill. Making
matters worse, she says, is that no one is
searching for her there. One of the five
people charged with murder in Latisha
Frazier's presumed death told investigators
the teen's body was left in a Washington
garbage bin that gets emptied into a
landfill outside Richmond, Va.
