Economic Development Director

Application Deadline June 3, 2011


This position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful economic development services to Lincoln and Logan County.

 

The Director will be responsible for working with a diverse group of members. The membership is made up of large business, small business, elected officials, agriculture, educational institutions, and special interest groups. The selected person will be responsible for maintaining and growing the membership as well as being a consensus builder with the current membership and the community.
 

Requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Well organized with financial and budgeting experience.

  • Successful grant writing and grant administration experience.

  • Ability to collaborate with Public bodies, institutions, and other organizations

  • Ability to prepare and present monthly reports to the Executive Board and Members.

  • Experienced with Master Plan implementation and administration.
     

Preferred Skills for the position:

  • Progressive work history in an economic development position

  • Excellent Presentation Skills

  • Marketing Plan Development

  • Masters Degree

  • Experience working with CEDS grants

  • Data base administration

  • Website administration

  • Wind Industry knowledge

Salary Range for the position is $50,000 - $63,500, depending on qualification and experience. Additional compensation and benefit package will be negotiated at time of job offer.

 

The selected individual will be required to posses or obtain an Illinois Drivers License and reside in Logan County, Illinois within a predetermined time after hire.

Individuals must be compassionate, committed to providing safety, structure and stability as well as nurturing for children with a wide array of behavioral, emotional, and/or medical needs.
