Cremation rites have been accorded.
Arrangements are with Peasley Funeral Home of
Lincoln.
Mrs. May retired from Illinois Bell as a service
representative.
She was born on March 12, 1932, in Kannapolis,
N.C. Her parents were Horace Samuel and Carrie Ann
Panter Johnson. She married Robert "Bob" Glenn May
on June 15, 1952.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, of
Mount Pulaski; two daughters, Debra May (and George
Cossette) of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Teresa Sefried
of Blue Mound; one son, Robert G. (and Michelle) May
Jr. of Mount Pulaski; four grandchildren, Lauren
Sefried, Morgan May, Riley May and Nicholas May; and
three brothers, Carl Johnson of China Grove, N.C.;
Robert Johnson of Lincolnton, N.C.; and William
Johnson of Bristol, Tenn.
Carol was a member of the First United Methodist
Church of Mount Pulaski and the Red Hat Society.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals
for Children.
