LINCOLN -- A graveside service for
Anita Jane Dix Bingham, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at
Zion Cemetery.
A former longtime Lincoln resident, she died Oct. 3,
2011, at her home in Rome, Ga. |

Mrs. Bingham enjoyed a successful
professional career as a business owner and served
as the director of the Foster Grandparent program at
Lincoln Developmental Center for over 20 years. She
was a devoted mother to her three sons and caregiver
to her grandchildren.
She was born Feb. 13, 1920, in Berwyn.
She is survived by three sons, Ken Bingham and
his wife, Sue, of Rome, Ga., Jack Bingham of
Phoenix, Ariz., and Jerry Bingham and his wife,
Susanna, of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren Wendy
Bingham Smith, Mark Bingham, Christopher
Bingham, Laura Bingham Bell, Susan (Mandy) Bingham Lombness,
Christine Bingham, David Bingham, Eric Bingham and
Katrina Bingham; 10 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John
Dix and Anna Kopecky; her husband, Vere LaMont
Bingham; and all of her siblings. |
The family respectfully requests no floral
contributions. To honor Mrs. Bingham's advocacy of
children with developmental disabilities, memorials
