LINCOLN -- Stanley D. Rousey, 74, of
Lincoln, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at 7:12 a.m. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital. |
His wishes were to be cremated.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 29 at
Funk's Grove Chapel, McLean. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mr. Rousey retired as owner and operator of
Kenshalo-Rousey Home Improvements.
He was born July 11, 1937, in McLean. His parents
were Alonzo and Alma Nichols Rousey. He married Mary
Baker on June 22, 1996, at Funk's Grove, McLean.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two sons,
Gregory Rousey of Lincoln and Kevin (and Cindy)
Rousey of Marion; two daughters, Lisa (and David)
Bobb of Lincoln and Ricki (and Pat) Giersch of St. Charles; six
grandchildren, Michael Bobb, Blake Pleasant, Kacey
Rousey, Korey Rousey, Abby Pleasant and Kileigh
Rousey; and three great-grandchildren, Grace Bobb,
Gavin Rousey and Cole Rousey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one
grandson, Brian Bobb; and three brothers, Junior,
Merlin and Kenneth Rousey. He was the last of his
immediate family. |
Stan was a member of Lincoln Lodge 210, Lincoln York
Rite, Constantine Commandery 51, Ansar Shrine and
Logan County Shrine Club.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's
choice.
