James Robert Barry, 64, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at
his home. |

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial
service for Mr. Barry will be at noon Tuesday at
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mr. Barry retired from Logan Correctional Center
after more than 20 years of service. He was formerly
employed at Lincoln Developmental Center.
He was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Quincy.
He is survived by his children, Monica Barry of
Lincoln and Jim (and Terri) Barry of Lincoln;
two grandchildren, Paul and Megan Barry, both of
Lincoln; one sister, Sharon Newby of Florida; one
nephew, Tim Newby of Florida; and an uncle, Bob (and
Norma) McAfee of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents. |
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung
Association or to the family and will be accepted at
the funeral home.
