LINCOLN --
Luana "Ludi" Froschauer, 69, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Oct. 27,
2011, at 10:50 p.m. at her home. She was cremated.A celebration of her life will
be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lincoln Elks.

Funeral Home in Lincoln.
She retired after 30 years with Lincoln Office,
where she worked as office coordinator.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1942, in Springfield. Her
parents were Howard L. and Lula Best Wanless Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney (and Patty)
Clarke and Jason (and Victoria) Clarke of Lincoln;
three grandchildren, Blake, Kollin and Chance
Clarke; two stepgrandchildren, Evelyn and Eleanore
Baker; one special daughter, Renita (and Troy)
Sprinkle of Mount Auburn; one brother, Ronald O.
Wanless of Fontana, Calif.; and a special cousin and
caregiver, Brenda Best Smith of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband
and one brother, Howard Wanless Jr. She was past president of American Legion Auxiliary
Post 263; past and current president of Lincoln
Emblem Club 433, community service chair and 15-year
coordinator of the club's Christmas food basket
program; state past president of Wisconsin,
Illinois, Indiana and Michigan State Association of
Emblem Clubs; and past supreme marshal of the
Supreme Emblem Club of the United States of America. |
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
family.
