MOUNT PULASKI -- Bernardine Louise
Shutt, 76, of Blue Springs, Mo., a Mount Pulaski native, died of
cancer on Aug. 28, 2011, surrounded by her family. |
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 8
p.m., at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St.,
Independence, Mo. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.
Her graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski is handling local arrangements.
Mrs. Shutt worked for the Social Security
Administration and retired from FDIC.
She was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Mount Pulaski, to
John and Louise Rentmeister Bertsche. She attended
MacMurray College in Jacksonville. She married
Donald W. Shutt on Aug.16, 1958. They raised their
three sons in Florissant, Mo., and later moved to
Blue Springs, Mo.
Bernardine is survived by her devoted husband Don
of 53 years; two sons, Mark (and Shari) and Gregory
(and Stephanie); grandchildren Brittney (and Ben)
Conine, Jacquie and Madison Shutt; and her dear
mother.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery
Shutt; her twin brother, Bernard; and her father. |
She was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church,
Independence, Mo.
She loved visiting grandchildren, trips to
Branson and her memorable trip to Hawaii. She
enjoyed shopping and lunches with dear friends.
