FLEET & FACILITIES
MANAGER
Community Action

Develop and
maintain a consistent and coordinated oversight of fleet
and faculties.
Responsibilities include vehicle and facilities
maintenance scheduling, safety compliance, lease
agreements, equipment inventory and maintenance,
equipment procurement.
Minimum of
Associates degree, excellent communication and writing
skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications,
valid Driver’s License and proof of vehicle insurance in
order to travel to sites in our 6 county service area,
physical ability to lift 50 lbs, obtain CDL with Bus
Permit upon hire.

CIVIL ENGINEER or
CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Prairie Engineers is seeking a candidate
to fill a position as an civil engineer or civil
engineering technician in our Lincoln, Illinois office
to assist in the office and field with project planning,
civil engineering design, construction document
development, and construction observation.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for
assisting Professional Engineers and Professional Land
Surveyors in the development and implementation of civil
engineering projects and to communicate well, maintain a
positive attitude, and work collaboratively with the
project team.
Additional responsibilities include:

Drafting and design for roadway,
site, sewer, and utility projects
-
Processing of topographical survey
data to produce existing topographical drawings
-
Development of existing surface
models
-
Preparation of detailed construction
documents
-
Design of horizontal and vertical
alignments
-
Travel as required to meet project
requirements
Required Qualifications for Entry Level
Civil Engineer Position
-
Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET
accredited university in civil engineering or a
related field
-
1-5 years of experience in civil
engineering design
-
Previous experience using AutoCAD /
Civil 3D
-
Preference given to candidates who
are able to become licensed as both a Professional
Engineer and a Professional Land Surveyor
Required Qualifications for Civil
Engineering Technician Position
-
Associate’s Degree in civil
engineering technology or a related field (for Civil
Engineering Technician Position)

1-5 years of experience providing
drafting and design for civil engineering projects

Previous experience using
AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ESRI ArcGIS products

Experience with Microstation/Geopak/InRoads

Field and/or office experience with
both civil engineering and land surveying projects

Experience with construction
observation and documentation for state and federal
projects
