ELKHART -- Imo Pankey McCray, 95, of
Elkhart, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at 5:53 p.m. at The Christian
Village in Lincoln.

Imo Pankey McCray, 95, of Elkhart, went to be with
the Lord at 5:53 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at
The Christian Village in Lincoln, IL.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Sunday, August 12,
2012 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday,
August 13, 2012 at Elkhart United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Elkhart Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Downs Syndrome
Research or to the Elkhart United Methodist Church
and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Imo was born September 14, 1916 in Elkhart, IL., the
daughter of Eugene Pankey and Nancy Merritt Pankey.
She married Arthur McCray on September 23, 1939 in
St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on
November 17, 1966.

She was a member of the Elkhart United Methodist
Church and the Elkhart Ladies Auxiliary. She was
employed as a custodian for the Elkhart Community
Bank for more than 20 years.
Surviving are: sons Robert McCray and his wife Donna
of Chatham, IL. and Jerry McCray and his wife
Kristin of LAs Vegas, NV.; five grandchildren:
Sarah, Teresa, Jason, Dawn, and Shawn; seven great
grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Werkman and her husband
Fritz of Lincoln, IL, Gladys Guinn of Elkhart, IL.,
and Nancy Pankey of Elkhart, IL.; brother Harold
Pankey and his wife Mary of Elkhart, IL.; sister in
laws Pat Pankey of Virginia, IL. and Gladys Pankey
of Springfield, IL; she is also survived by many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Arthur, her son Thomas McCray, a stillborn
daughter, her brothers Eugene Pankey, Harland Pankey,
and Donald Pankey, her twin sister Inez Bohn, and
her sister Edna Maude Pankey.
