Annie the Ladybug! Annie is this year's special-shape balloon for the annual
Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival. The special-shape balloon is sponsored by the city of
Lincoln. Annie, as you can see, is a cute, not-so-little ladybug sitting on a sunflower. To learn

Jerry
and Nancy Gehlbach will observe their 50th wedding anniversary
on Aug. 11. Nancy Lawrence and Gerald Gehlbach were
married at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Hinsdale on Aug. 11, 1962, while students at the University
of Illinois in Urbana. They are retired as
owners and operators of Heritage Pork Farm. Nancy also wrote
Our Times, a quarterly history publication about Logan County.
Family on hand to celebrate will include
Jerry's mother, Iola Gehlbach of Lincoln, the couple's sons and
their wives, Dr. Scott Gehlbach (and Dr. Maria Belodubrovskaya) of
Madison, Wis., and Dr. Brian Gehlbach (and Dr. Krista Johnson)
of Coralville, Iowa, and the couple's three grandchildren,
Emma, Jacob and Adrian Gehlbach.

charge. The full text of the obituaries is available online free of
charge in Logan County and across the world. Email condolences are
available from subscribing funeral homes. Ask your funeral director
to make sure the obituary of your loved one is placed in Lincoln
Daily News.

outside their Moondance Diner in La Barge, Wyo. Cheryl is
calling it quits after three years of trying to make a go of the
business. The diner, known from the 2002 "Spider-Man"
movie and TV shows including "Sex and the City" and "Friends,"
has been put up for sale after a long period of slow business.
The owners say that so far they haven't received a serious
offer.
