Mary L. Schaupp, 81, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at 9:58
p.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

LINCOLN-Mary L. Schaupp, 81, of Lincoln, passed away on August 7, 2012
at 9:58 p.m. at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln, IL.
Mary was born on August 18, 1930 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of John and
Lena Troeger Schaupp. They preceded her in death. Mary
was the last of her immediate family. She was survived by
friends Ted and Judy Awe of Lincoln.
Mary was a retired teacher having taught in Decatur, Rabbit Flat School,
and Beason Grade School. She was a graduate of Lincoln
Community High School, Lincoln College, and Millikin
University. She was a member of the National and Illinois
Education Associations. Mary was a member of First Baptist
Church of Lincoln having served as a Sunday school teacher,
Deaconess, and church clerk. |
She served on the Great River Region American
Baptist Women Ministry Area Board; then she served
as a mission worker on several American Baptist
Mission trips. She volunteered at the Logan County
Food Pantry, Postville Courthouse and the Blood
Bank.
Services for Mary will be Monday, August 13, 2012 at 1:30
p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln with Dr. Rev. Robert
Henderson officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery,
Lincoln. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, IL.
Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church or Logan
County Food Pantry. |
