Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Monday afternoon, with soybeans and corn sharply
higher.
Both corn and soybean futures were
supported by fund and technical buying at the Board of Trade.
Corn also received a boost from
the sale of 121,000 tonnes of US corn to Mexico.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 13 to 16 cents higher at 8.03-8.25.
Soybean bids were 38 to 41 cents
higher at 17.10-17.25.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 16 to 17 cents higher at 8.15-8.44.
Soybean bids were 36 to 38 cents
higher at 17.24-17.47.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 8 to
17 cents higher at 8.22-8.53.
Soybean bids were up 24 to 38
cents at 17.09-17.35.
Wheat bids were mixed at 8.43-8.71.
