Orin F. "Whitey" Bierman, 84, of Lincoln, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012,
at 1:51 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Lincoln-Orin F. "Whitey" Bierman, age 84, of
Lincoln, died at 1:51 P.M. Monday August 20, 2012 at
St. Clara's Manor.
Orin was born November 11, 1927 in Neodesha, Kansas,
the son of Lawrence and Alice Jaynes Bierman. He was
united in marriage to Norma Armstrong on February
11, 1961 in Lincoln, IL. He is survived by his wife,
one son, Jeffrey W. (Tracey) Bierman of
Chesterfield, Missouri, one daughter, Amy (David)
Mace of Brownsburg, Indiana, five grandchildren,
Ryan, Sarah, Rachel, Matthew and Parker; one sister,
Sally Hibner of Lincoln, IL; and one brother, Roy
Bierman of Crown Point, Indiana. He was preceded in
death by his parents, three brothers, Lawrence,
Bruce and Emmett Lee and one granddaughter, Jennifer
Mace.

Orin was a retired mold maker at Lincoln Bottle and
Glass and worked there from 1944 until his
retirement in 1992. He was a member of Holy Family
Church, and was an army veteran of WW II and the
Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of
Columbus and American Legion Post #263.
Services for Orin will be on Thursday, August 23,
2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home with Father Fontana officiating. A
prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Visitation
will be from 11 until 1 prior to the service at the
funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery
with full military rites accorded by American Legion
Post #263. Memorials may be made to Donor's choice.
