Lincoln- Carl J. Lingo, 81, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 9:50 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lingo will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Greg Wooten officiating.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery in Lincoln with full military honors by American Legion Post #263 of Lincoln.

Carl Joseph Lingo was born on June 2, 1931 in Columbus, Kentucky the son of Annie Helton. He married Mary Ellen Huskins on July 14, 1962 in Lincoln. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Bill Lingo, Angela Lingo, Don Lingo, Ricky Lingo, Larry Lingo all of Lincoln. Tammy (John) Martin of Alabama. Three brothers Calvin Helton, Almond Helton, Phillip Helton, Janice Helton all of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Carl served in the United States Air Force.

He retired from Kenshalo-Rousey Construction after 40 years.
