[August 31, 2012]  The Lincoln College women's soccer team defeated Scott Community College 2-1 in Lincoln.

The Lynx came out strong in the first half but fell to 1-0 at the end of the half with a late goal by Scott. In the second half the Lynx rallied with a goal each from Cassidy Jennings (Bartonville) and Karen Quintana (Bolingbrook).

"I was very pleased with the way we played most of the first half," said Lincoln College head coach Amber Angermeier. "We had a ton of opportunities on goal but were unable to finish. I was disappointed with the late first-half letdown that allowed them to score in the last minute of the half. I was proud of how the ladies battled back in the second half. Karen and Cassidy put away goals, and we had several other opportunities in front of the goal. I was pleased with how we possessed the ball in the midfield."

Lincoln will travel to ICC to take on the Cougars on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
